Xolani S.S. School Interact Club Sharing and Caring About the Elderly

Xolani S.S. School Interacact club based in Zwelistha shared the love on Friday the 13th of February 2015, by fundraising through selling roses and cupcakes at our school. Our aim for the fundraiser was aimed to share the love with Vukani Old Age Centre and spoiling all the elderly with cupcakes, song, poems and drinks.

The 6 pupils from Xolani S.S.School and Jolandé Swartz from Sifunda Kunye started the club at the beginning of 2015. Our motto for our club are “service above self” Jolandé Swartz and the principal Mr. Mkalali together with Xolani S.S.School interact club had a lovely time remembering the elderly of our community and thanking them through a small token of love. The elderly at Vukani Old Age Centre in Zwelitwa really enjoyed the company of our pupils and was really surprised and happy that Xolani Interact club thought of them and showed such an act of kindness.
